Jardins du Monde collection
A Paris-based Designer, Tatiana de Nicolay is a tastemaker who honed her eye first as a fashion designer and then transitioned to enter the world of interior designing. Her joyful details and imagination speak of delicate beauty inspired by masterpieces across the arts. Her collection, Jardins du Monde is an ode to the architectural legacy of Albert Kahn. Taking inspiration from the Albert Kahn’s Garden in Paris, where she imagines the beauty of seven gardens around the world, creating seven landscapes before translating them into carpet designs.
The Garden Gate
As you enter the collection, the first rug in the series is The Garden Gate. A beautiful rug that showcases a large wooden trellis wrapped with vibrant bamboo leaves, enticing you to explore the wonders beyond this gate. The detailed asymmetrical rug is a reminder of the Victorian Era and its architecture.

As you walk past the floral meadow in the collection series of Jardins du Monde, the fourth stop is A River of Roses. The walk takes you to waterways, typical of English gardens and green trellis with climbing roses. Creating a sense of tranquility and elegance, the rug is reminiscent of an English Countryside.

The fifth rug in the collection through the journey of exploration arrives at the tropical greenhouses showcasing ficus and bermuda palm trees, pepper vines and herbs. As you wander through the dense and abundant vegetation the song of a Quetzal or the hiss of a tropical snake is dominant which is why the rug takes its name.

The final stage of the walk takes us to the large draped tents that were once set up for country lunches. The rug’s design is inspired by an English marquee. Creating a festive spirit of fun and celebrations as witnessed on the lawns of English estates, the rug is perfect for celebratory spaces. In addition, the rug’s vibrant hues and distinct design make it more than just a floor covering, allowing its versatility to expand to being wall tapestry or ceiling decor.
