The Design Story
keemtiKeemtiThis rug is crafted by Prakash, a highly experienced Manchaha artist. His expertise is evident in every detail of his work. Among artists, Prakash is known for never being overwhelmed by the scale of a canvas. He has woven carpets as large as 18 feet and as small as this particular Manchaha—the smallest size he has ever worked on. Speaking with him, he shared that he invested the same care, and precision into this rug as he would on his large-scale looms. He hand-mixed the yarns himself, carefully decorating this Manchaha with meticulous attention. His sincerity shines through in every knot. Upon completing the rug, he felt immense joy and considers it his most treasured creation, giving it the name “Keemti”, meaning “Precious.”
