Israel’s “Ayat” is a vibrant ode to life’s unpredictability, its shifting moods, fleeting moments, and the experiences that arrive without warning. The rug moves between harmony and disruption: patterns align, then break; colors blend, then burst apart. Everywhere, something changes. With an abundance of yarn before him, Israel used every color available, building a rich, energetic background before letting lighter tones settle as the rug’s foundation. “Hamein nahi pata ki kal ho na ho,” he said, smiling. “Hum roz kuch acha bunne ki koshish karte hain—isi liye saare rang ek saath dhol diye” (We never know if tomorrow will come. So I try to weave something good every day—and that’s why I used all the colors together). In its spontaneity and fearless color, Ayat becomes Israel’s personal scripture, a reminder to fill each day with whatever beauty we can create.
