The Design Story
hariyali ki duniyaHariyali ki DuniyaPinki, Shivani, and Sakshi's Manchaha, "Hariyali ki Duniya," expresses their love for their village and daily happenings. Pinki narrates how, once, they were weaving during the evening when they had a power cut, which made Pinki furious. She decided to make electricity poles all over her hand-knotted rug, imagining that there would be no electricity issues in her village in the long run. Moving forward, Shivani and Sakshi have woven a pattern inspired by the greenery of their village, such as mountains, fields, houses, and lattos (a spinning top), naming their Manchaha "Hariyali Ki Duniya." They showcase their love for the village through their creativity and wish for its development to make it a better place to live for people.
