The Design Story
teen raasteTeen RaasteWhen Priyanka, Suman, and Rekha began this Manchaha, they chose not to follow a single design. Instead, each wove what felt closest to her life. Bold diagonal lines reflect the paths they walk every day—roads to fields, homes, and markets. Tight grids and repeated dots show routine, the steady rhythm of daily work. Softer motifs like tiny figures, plants, and abstract signs carry personal memories and quiet observations. The visible breaks in the rug mark where one weaver paused and another continued. These shifts are not mistakes but moments of transition. As the rug settles, the patterns grow calmer, showing how three different approaches slowly found balance. "Teen Raaste" (Three Paths) is a shared landscape of lived experiences, three journeys crossing, pausing, and finally moving forward together.
