Bhoore Megh
Mukesh and Mamt a husband-wifr duo are known for weaving clear, visual narratives — homes, trees, people, fields and elements you can immediately recognize. Their Manchahas usually speak in direct images. But "Bhoore Megh" (Brown Clouds) is different. Here, there are no defined figures. Only layered tones of brown, muted pink, ochre, and sudden hints of blue. The forms blend into one another like clouds gathering in a dusty sky. Inspired by the brown monsoon clouds that hover before rain, this rug captures a mood rather than a scene, a moment of stillness, when the land waits. With "Bhoore Megh," they move from storytelling through objects to storytelling through atmosphere.
