Saajhi Lehrein
Sunita and Meena, sisters-in-law, began this Manchaha sitting on opposite sides of the loom, quietly mirroring each other. Meena, the elder, first marked her presence with a bold, bulky diamond on the left. Sunita responded differently. Instead of weight, she chose movement, weaving flowing "leheriya" waves that felt playful and free. Without saying a word, a gentle competition began. Each tried to make her side stand out. But as the rug grew, their patterns moved closer. The strong diamond and the dancing waves slowly met in the center, their lines merging into one rhythm. "Saajhi Lehrein" (Waves We Share) is a story of playful pride turning into partnership—two sisters-in-law who began on opposite ends and finished as sisters, forever weaving side by side.
