The Design Story
dil ke taarDil Ke TaarDil Ke Taar, literally meaning the strings of the heart—is woven by Parvati and Baghchand, the most beloved couple in our company. Their friendly competition on the loom, each trying to outdo the other with a better design has grown into a story admired across the world, a reminder that love often finds its most beautiful expression in unexpected places. Baghchand remains devoted to structure, drawn naturally toward strong, geometric forms. Parvati, on the other hand, is a free bird. She dances across the loom, introducing soft, wavy lines, sometimes gently spilling into Baghchand’s side of the rug. The zigzag lines, she says, are not merely leheriya patterns inspired by her saree. They are the "dil ke taar", the invisible strings that connect their hearts. They echo their shared heartbeat, captured in every knot by the loom. Woven together in quiet rivalry and deep affection, Dil Ke Taar is like a living record of love—playful, imperfect, and full of warmth.
